Guided Hikes for You and Your Dog

For people who want to slow down, connect, and experience the world alongside their dog.

This Is What Life With Your Dog Can

Feel Like

Calm walks. Shared experiences.
A deeper connection.

Walks do not have to feel rushed, stressful, or something to “get through.”

For many dogs,

Especially those living in busy human environments, opportunities for this kind of exploration and regulation are limited.

Woodland Walks are designed to change that.

These guided hikes give you and your dog the chance to slow down, build skills, and experience nature together in a way that supports both behavior and wellbeing.

Curated, Small Group Experiences in Nature

Guided hikes in Newcomb, NY and surrounding trails

Limited to three dogs and their humans per group. These are not pack walks and they are not unstructured outings.

Each walk is thoughtfully guided to support calm behavior, appropriate social interaction, and meaningful enrichment for your dog, while helping you develop real world handling and observation skills.

Getting started is simple:

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my dog ready for a group walk?

These walks are intentionally small and structured. Dogs should be able to be in the presence of other dogs at a comfortable distance. If you are unsure, we can talk through whether this is the right fit.

Our focus is on calm coexistence and appropriate social experiences, not free for all play. Interactions are guided and based on what is beneficial for the dogs involved.
That is absolutely something we can work on during these sessions. This is a learning environment, not a test.
We choose trails and pacing that are accessible for most dogs and humans, with plenty of space for breaks and observation.

There is a different way to walk with your dog.

Reach out when you are ready. We will take the next step together.

One where you are not rushing, correcting, or managing every moment. One where you can both breathe, explore, and settle into the experience. One where connection comes naturally.

If that is the kind of life you want with your dog, this is a beautiful place to begin.
